Food Review...Snow

Hello, readers! Recently, where we live, we got a bit of snow! Now, we guinea pigs didn't really know exactly what snow was-- until now. The humans scooped up a handful of fresh (very clean) snow for us and gave it to us to eat!

Food Review...Pet Greens Original Wheat Grass

Hey readers! I, Fluffy, am reviewing wheat grass. Since the humans treat the lawn in the backyard (why, I don't know), we piggies aren't able to eat the grass in the great outdoors. So, as a substitute, our humans picked up some wheat grass from the pet store.

Food Review...Basil

Our main excitement about summer-- favorite foods and new foods to try. Basil falls under the category of 'new foods to try', so we decided to give it a taste. So today, I, Fluffy, am writing a review on basil!

Food Review...Oxbow Treats: Cranberry

Hello from the Piggies! Today, we continued our testing of the new Oxbow treats that our humans recently discovered. Today, we tried the ones with cranberry in them. Read on to find out more!

Food Review...Oxbow Treats: Bell Pepper

Hey readers! Today, my friends and I tried out a new kind of Oxbow treat that the humans bought. We figured we'd love it, since we love all their other treats. Read on to find out if we liked it or not!

Food Review...Oxbow Harvest Stacks Western Timothy Hay with Chamomile

Hey readers! It's been a while since we've reviewed a food. This time, while the humans were shopping around online, they saw another one of Oxbow's products! In the past, we've really liked Oxbow's products, so we tried this one, too!

Food Review...Pumpkin

Finally! We got around to telling you guys about our adventure with pumpkin! Now, we should only have this food 1-2 times per week. Now, onto the results!

Toy Product Review...Ecotrition Snak Shak Acitivity Log

Today we're going to test out a product that really could be classified as a toy, hideaway product, or even a food (you can chew on it). Even though this is edible, it's not good to have all the time, but it's okay every so often . It's not extremely dangerous, though, on the other hand.

Sniff...sniff...hey, guys, check this out!

Let's take a little nibble...

Om nom nom!

As you can see, it's good for chewing. The humans particularly like that we're chewing on these because before we would chew on our cardboard boxes. Turns out, 5/5 piggies enjoyed it (for one use or another)!

Food Review...Watermelon

So, today the humans decided to give us watermelon. Of course, Olympia, Sandy, Celery, and I have all tried watermelon before because we've been with our humans for a while. On the other hand, this is Bandit's first summer (well, technically it's spring, but...)! So, here we go!
I got it!  I got it! It's all mine now...

You get the smaller piece, Olympia. Heheheh...

Save some more for me!

Okay, guys, remember, I'm the dominant pig...just a friendly
reminder...

Happiness on the island...ahhh...

So, as you can see all of us loved the watermelon! By the end of the day, our chin fur was pink from eating watermelon. We forgot to mention above, we can have watermelon 1-2 times per week. Also, we like to eat the rind as well. We love it all! In case you haven't guessed yet, 5/5 piggies loved this juicy fruit!

Food Review...Raspberries

It's me, Fluffy! Hello out there! Have you ever noticed those red, yummy-looking berries? Those juicy red berries the humans eat with whipped cream seemed to look tasty. The berries, of course, not the cream. We eventually figured out that the humans call those berries "raspberries". You can feed us raspberries almost everyday.

We smell food, humans! Give it to us now...
Celery, don't take it all! I want to try some!

Olympia, that was going to be mine! Let me have it!

Or just eat it, I guess...

Why doesn't anyone give me their food?!

The humans never captured me on camera, eating the berries, but I didn't like them. There weren't nearly as good as I expected them to be. But, Sandy, Olympia, and Celery all seemed to enjoy their tasty treat. So, I guess I'll have to say that 3/5 piggies liked raspberries.

Food Review...Mangoes

Hello, everyone! Today, we tried mangoes. Three of our humans seem to like them, so we thought we'd try a little. We can have this fruit 1-2 times per wheek, in case any of you fans would like to take a nibble.

Celery, it's mango. Didn't I already tell you that?

Try it, Celery! There you go...
That's the right idea, Sandy.

I did not like the mango one bit.
Seriously, humans? Don't bring me that offensive stuff!
As you can tell, only Sandy tried a little bit. And even she only ate some of it. So, all in all, we weren't really crazy about mango. We'll say that 1/5 piggies like it.

Food Review...DIY Fruit Kebab: Simple Pleasures

Today, we found two strange sticks lying on our island. You might ask why we were interested in them. Normally, we wouldn't have been interested, but these sticks had food on them! Sandy then came running up to me, informing me that she watched the humans make these sticks! They're called "kebabs". In case any of you piggies want to taste them, or you humans would like to make them for your piggies, here's the recipe!
Kebab sticks...2+ sticks
Oranges..........1/2 an orange
Grapes............1/2 cluster
Strawberries....3 whole strawberries

Start with our kebab sticks

Take your orange

Cut it in half, then cut it up into smaller slices

Take your strawberries and cut them up into quarters

Take your grapes

Start sliding the fruit onto the kebabs. The humans did
it in a pattern for us lucky pigs.

Ta-da!

Serve and eat! (sorry, the humans didn't have much light.
We piggies like our privacy.)

Now, what you've all been waiting for...the review! Well, even though you can only see me in the pigture, all of us piggies liked it. So, 5/5 piggies enjoyed the appetizer! For now, "au revior"!

Food Review...Carrot Tops

Today we'll be taste-testing carrot tops. If you humans use the carrots to make a human food, instead of throwing the tops away, why not give them to your piggies? We'll say to err on the safe side and give your piggies this yummy treat 1-2 times a week (or wheek! Get it?).

I'm civilized and eating off the tree. Could you grow
more of these on the island, human?

Bandit is stealing my carrot tops! Help!

Don't be getting any ideas, Olympia. These are all
mine!

Celery! I claimed that piece. In fact, I claimed all the
pieces!

Well, as you can see from the pigtures, all the piggies liked them. 5/5 piggies gave thumbs up (rather, paws up!).

Food Review...Oxbow Organic Barley Biscuits

Hey humans! Today we received a box from Pet Food Direct full of guinea pig hay and treats! One of the treats were Barley Biscuits. Oxbow recommends only feeding your piggies 1-2 of these treats per day.

I like it human! I want more, more, more!

Well, I liked it. In fact, I loved it. Let's see how Bandit likes his treat.

A treat! You can't take it back from me now, human!

We tried all the other piggies, too, and they all devoured their treat! Well, I guess we'll have to say that 5/5 piggies liked it!

Food Review...Earthbound Farms Spring Mix Lettuce

Yay! A food to review! My specialty! Of course, I won't be just reviewing from my perspective; I'll consider my siblings' perspectives, too. Today we're reviewing Earthbound Farms's Spring Mix. We'll recommend giving this lettuce mix to piggies almost daily; it consists of many vitamins and different lettuces with different nutrients.

My food, Olympia! All mine...

Olympia, Bandit, and Sandy all seemed to like it, too.

Looks like Celery is snatching leaves, too.

Everyone seemed to love the lettuce mix. I thought it was really good. 5/5 piggies liked it!
